Skukuza Golf Course

The Skukuza Golf Course is a magnificent 9-hole (18-tee) course situated in the world-renowned Kruger National Park on the outskirts of Skukuza Rest Camp. The golf course was built in 1972 as a recreational facility for the Skukuza personnel, and has now been opened to visitors to the Kruger National Park for the first time.

The rich wildlife sanctuary surrounding the golf course is home to the Big Five, a huge variety of birds and countless animals, which all conspire to provide the visitor with a harmonious close-to-nature golfing experience. Since the course is not fenced-in, uninvited spectators are a common sight; hippo, impala, warthog and baboons to mention but a few.

The course offers the pleasure of challenge and adventure. For example, the 2nd hole, Par 3, has water on the left and to the back of the green where hippo regularly wallow and the signature hole, the 9th, Par 3 of about 150m is played across Lake Panic, watch out for the crocodiles.

Leopard Creek Golf Course

Opened in 1996 as an exclusive club, with membership being by invitation only, Leopard Creek was the dream of Johan Rupert, who had both a passion for golf and a love of the African bush. Along with the Gary Player design team they created an absolute gem.

Home to the Alfred Dunhill Championship, Leopard Creek is in immaculate condition year round, with large sweeping fairways, silky smooth greens and sparkling water features. With views over the Crocodile River and Kruger National Park, it is not unusual to see many of the parks inhabitants relaxing at the waters edge.

A constant in the top 5 courses in the country, the 18th hole is a truly memorable, a long Par 4, 435m with the tee shot downhill, danger awaits in the form a stream that runs along the left side of the fairway, and 2 bunkers in the landing area on the right. The long second is played to a green that has surrounded by water on two sides with a pot bunker short left and a large bunker at the back. A great hole to conclude a great course.

White River Country Club

Set amongst the picturesque plantations on the banks of the White River is the White River Golf and Country Club. The course has a very different atmosphere to the other bush style courses in the area, White River is a parkland venue, with the river at its core and a valley that allows the course to just flow with the natural contours.

Regular early morning mists give the estate an almost tranquil feel, yet offering a mystique that hides the real beauty of this wonderful part of the world.

The course makes for a relaxing round with lasting memories being of tree lined fairways, river crossings and a course of true standing. With vast natural beauty and an abundance of water, White River will be a great addition to any tour.

Sabi River Golf Course

Set within the Sabi River Sun Lifestyle Resort, this 18 hole golf course is laid out in truly scenic surroundings. Originally Sabi River started life as a 9 hole course, built by the local farming community for their own use. It wasnt until 1992, following a re-design that the course became 18 holes.

The fairways on the course tend to be fairly hilly, but are always in good condition with many bunkers and water features protecting the greens. Water comes into play on 13 of the holes. A real feature on the course is the large dam situated next to the 16th and 17th holes, with hippos and crocodiles permanently residing there, dont look too hard for any stray balls!

Kruger Park Lodge

With great playability for all levels of golfer, whether it be a social game or something a little more serious, Kruger Park Lodge will be enjoyed by all participants, this 9 hole golf course is within minutes of the world renowned Kruger National Park.

There are some really enjoyable holes on the course with the 7th hole, par 3 being one. There is water to carry all the way to the green, from the tee box there are two high back bunkers that you can see and a couple that you cant. Fortunately the green is quite wide and large.

Due to its proximity of the Kruger National Park and Sabie River, there are some superb views over both from some of the high tees. They have taken extra care to ensure the natural beauty of the local area is not destroyed and as such bougainvillea, azaleas and a host of other indigenous plants provide a back drop of colour around the course.

It is also not unusual to see hippo and crocodile wallowing at the waters edge in the dam at the right of the 2nd hole. Impala also have free roam of the course.
