Cape Town and Winelands Golf Tours

Spend a week taking in South Africa’s Mother city, Cape Town and the surrounding Winelands. Spend 4 nights at the V & A Waterfront before heading off to the Cape Winelands for 3 nights in Stellenbosch.

Experience a relaxing week in Cape Town, take in some of the many attractions on offer, including Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Waterfront. Head slightly North to the Cape Winelands and enjoy some of the finest vineyards and restaurants in the towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. A real cosmopolitan city, Cape Town is now a leading destination in the Worlds tourism industry. Enjoy a round of golf at Pearl Valley, host to the SA Open.

Day 1 Cape Town

Clients are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport by a representative of SAfrica Golf Tours who will assist them with collecting their rental car. The representative will then spend about an hour with guests going over the route and offering suggestions and advice, at this point clients will be presented with their self drive tour itinerary, a map book and any vouchers that they will need on their journey. Clients will have the balance of the day at their leisure

Day 2 Cape Town

After breakfast at your hotel, you first round of the week will be at Atlantic Beach , consistently rated as one of the best courses within the Western Cape, Atlantic Beach is now used as a qualifying course for The Open. The course is a Championship traditional Links style course where thewind comes in off of the ocean nearby.

Day 3 Cape Town

This morning you will head off to the Royal Cape golf course, With lovely views of Table Mountain from most holes, this championship course offers a beautiful setting and challenging layout. Royal Cape Golf Club is a true championship course, having hosted the South African Open no less than ten times..

Day 4 Cape Town

Day at Leisure : We recommend you take this opportunity to visit some of Cape Towns favourite attractions, take a cable car trip up Table Mountain, weather permitting the views from the top really are stunning. Take a ferry trip to Robben Island, ferries depart from the V&A Waterfront. Alternatively take the day to relax on one of Cape Towns beautiful beaches, Camps Bay and Bantry Bay are among the favourites. Boulders Beach is also a firm favourite with its penguin colony sharing the beach.

Day 5: Cape Winelands

After breakfast today you will move hotels to the PH Dorpshuis & Spa which is located in Stellenbosch, South Africas oldest wine producing region. Play golf today at De Zalze golf club, a parklands course ,with its best defences being the water on several of the holes. The course was host to the World Amateur Championships in 2006 and is now a regular in South Africas 5 star golf experience awards. It is linked to the Spier wine estate, giving you an opportunity to finish the day by sampling some of the fantastic wines on offer. The estate also gives you the opportunity of having a close encounter with their Cheetahs and Birds of Prey at their Rehab centre.

Day 6: Cape Winelands

Day at Leisure: We recommend you take today to enjoy some of the local towns, perhaps take in a guided wine tour to some of the local vineyards. Take a trip to Franschhoek, spend a few hours wandering along the tree lined village whilst visiting some of its arts and craft studios. Franschhoek is South Africas gourmet capital, you will find everything from gourmet to rustic cuisine, something to suit every palate.

Day 7: Cape Winelands

Your last round of the week will take place today at Pearl Valley, this Golf Estate is recognized internationally as a prestigious destination for world-class golf, and is currently host of the SA Open, the second oldest open in the world. Every hole is played against the spectacular backdrop of the mountains surrounding the estate and all are challenging due to the bunkers and fast greens. A must play course on any visit to the Cape.

Day 8: Depart

With only a few hours left before you depart Cape Town now is the time to finish off any last minute present shopping that needs to be done, Why not try Canal Walk, based within Century City this is one of Southern Africas largest shopping malls. Finally return rental car : Have a safe journey home
