This is the ultimate trip to South Africa. A 21 night, 8 stop tour that starts in Cape Town, moves on through the Garden Route, up to Port Elizabeth and finishes in Sun City.

This once in a lifetime 21 night tour allows you to sample all aspects of South Africa. Start your trip in the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, head North to the Cape Winelands, before taking in 2 game drives on your way along the Garden Route stopping in the towns of Mossel Bay and Knysna. Continue along the Eastern Cape to St Francis Bay before moving on to the coastal town of Port Elizabeth. Finally finish off your tour with 4 days at the world famous Sun City resort. Enjoy 11 rounds of golf, including Pearl Valley, Pinnacle Point and the Gary Player Course.

Day 1 Cape Town

Clients are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport by a representative of SAfrica Golf Tours who will assist them with collecting their rental car. The representative will then spend about an hour with guests going over the route and offering suggestions and advice, at this point clients will be presented with their self drive tour itinerary, a map book and any vouchers that they will need on their journey. Clients will have the balance of the day at their leisure

Day 2 Cape Town

After breakfast at your hotel, you first round of the week will be at Atlantic Beach , consistently rated as one of the best courses within the Western Cape, Atlantic Beach is now used as a qualifying course for The Open. The course is a Championship traditional Links style course where thewind comes in off of the ocean nearby.

Day 3 Cape Town

Day at Leisure : We recommend you take this opportunity to visit some of Cape Towns favourite attractions, take a cable car trip up Table Mountain, weather permitting the views from the top really are stunning. Take a ferry trip to Robben Island, ferries depart from the V&A Waterfront. Alternatively take the day to relax on one of Cape Towns beautiful beaches, Camps Bay and Bantry Bay are among the favourites. Boulders Beach is also a firm favourite with its penguin colony sharing the beach.

Day 4 Cape Town

This morning you will head off to the Mowbray golf club, With lovely views of Table Mountain from most holes, this championship course offers a beautiful setting and challenging layout. Mowbray Golf Club is a true championship course, having hosted the South African Open no less than seven times .

Day 5: Cape Winelands

Day at Leisure: You will be moving hotels today, We recommend you take today to enjoy some of the local towns, perhaps take in a guided wine tour to some of the local vineyards. Take a trip to Franschhoek, spend a few hours wandering along the tree lined village whilst visiting some of its arts and craft studios. Franschhoek is South Africa’s gourmet capital, you will find everything from a la carte to rustic cuisine, something to suit every palate.

Day 6: Cape Winelands

Your last round in the Cape will take place today at Pearl Valley, this Golf Estate is recognized internationally as a prestigious destination for world-class golf, and is currently host of the SA Open, the second oldest open in the world. Every hole is played against the spectacular backdrop of the mountains surrounding the estate and all are challenging due to the bunkers and fast greens. A must play course on any visit to the Cape.

Day 7: Garden Route

Today is a fairly free day, so much as you will need to travel up the N2 until you reach Albertinia, (about 2.5 hrs from Franschoek), where you will be spending the night at the Garden Route Game Lodge. Here you will experience 2 game drives, one in the early evening as the sun sets and the second will take place at sun up. Your stay here will include an evening meal in the main restaurant looking out over the reserve, and breakfast in the Boma following your early morning drive. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and spend time relaxing at the pool area.

Day 8: Mossel Bay

After you depart the Game Reserve you will have the rest of the day to explore and make your way to Mossel Bay, about 1 hr from Albertinia. Here you will be staying at Pinnacle Point Golf resort.

Day 9: Herolds Bay

After breakfast in the clubhouse, you will set about taking on Pinnacle Point golf course, The course is an immaculate eighteen-hole championship golf course, The emerald green fairways and tees provide the perfect surface for making shots and the bent grass greens will ensure a challenging and entertaining game is had by all. Set on the edge of a magnificent coast, the views are awe inspiring, with dramatic coastal views of the ocean from all area’s of the course. Pinnacle Point has already been rated as “the best golf course on the planet” by pro golfer Darren Clarke.

Day 10: George

Today you will be playing at Oubaai, Ernie Els’s first signature design golf course in his home country of South Africa. Els has created a gem on an impressive piece of land with the backdrop of the Outeniqua Mountain range to one side, the magnificent Gwaing River valley to the other and the Indian Ocean in front. The course has been built with classic links in mind, but there are subtleties and features adding character here that will not be found on any of the traditional links courses of the world. On completing your round at Oubaai you have a 45 minute drive to Knysna where you will be staying in the largest log structure in Southern Africa, The Knysna Log Inn

Day 11: Knysna

Day at Leisure : We recommend you take this opportunity to visit some of the Garden Routes attractions, make a trip to the Knysna Elephant park and experience these huge creatures up close and personal as you get to interact with them. Monkeyland, a free roaming primate sanctuary and Birds of Eden are just North of Plettenberg Bay. Storms River and the Tsitsikamma village are about an hours drive away. For the real adventurous why not bungee jump from the Bloukrans River Bridge, the highest commercial bungy site in the world at a whooping 216m high.

Day 12: Plettenberg Bay

After breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way to Pezula Golf Estate, this Championship Golf Course is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine Southern Cape landscape. The breathtaking, award-winning 18-hole course which was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of GolfPlan USA, rates amongst the best and the most scenic golf courses in the world. The course has sweeping views of both the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean

Day 13: Plettenberg Bay

Today you will be playing about 25 kms North of Knysna at Goose Valley golf club, just outside the picturesque town of Plettenberg Bay. Goose Valley is a Gary Player designed course set on the banks of the Keurbooms Lagoon. Golfers will experience fantastic views of the ocean, the Tsitsikamma Mountains along with an abundance of wildlife.

Day 14:St Franci Bay

Today is a free day, you will need to travel about 150kms to St Francis Bay, on your way why not spend some time visiting the Tstitsikamma Village and enjoy a tree tops tour. Alternatively take a stop off at Storms River, take a walk out to the swing bridge and return back for a sumptuous lunch overlooking the ocean.

Day 15: St Francis Bay

Today you will be playing at St Francis Links Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus designed Links course. In the style of a traditional Links course the fairways are situated on wide undulating terrain, with large greens that require strong mental strength.

Day 16: Port Elizabeth

Day at leisure, leave early and head for the town of Port Elizabeth, your base for the next 2 nights of your trip. Port Elizabeth, also known as the Friendly City, is set along the shores of Algoa Bay on the south eastern coast of Africa. The city offers a unique coastal climate with more sunshine hours and fewer rainy days than any other coastal city in South Africa.

Day 17: Port Elizabeth

Today's round will take place at Humewood Golf Club, widely regarded as one of the best Links courses in the world. Set on the sand dunes of the Algoa Bay, with wide undulating fairways, pot bunkers and hard, slick greens this will be a real test of your skill. Home to the South African open on four occasions, this will be a great test of your skills.

Day 18: Sun City

After breakfast you will return the hire car to the local airport before catching an internal flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will collect a new car and set off for the World renowned Sun City resort, here you will spend the last 4 days of your trip.

Day 19: Sun City

After breakfast at your hotel, you first round in the resort will be on the Lost City Golf Course, the second course within the complex, a desert style course with some fantastic views from the elevated tees of the surrounding African bushveld. Mind out for the crocodiles on the Par 3, 13th!!

Day 20: Sun City

Day at leisure, enjoy some of the many facilities on offer within the complex. Try some of the water slides in the Valley of the Waves, visit the crocodiles at kamp kweena, try your luck at one of the casino tables or just relax at the beach or swimming pool.

Day 21: Sun City

For your final round of the trip, you will get to play the most famous course in South Africa, the Gary Player Golf Course, home to the Nedbank Golf Challenge for the last 25 years. Constantly ranked as the number 1 course in the country, you will have the opportunity to test yourself against this great course, with its super lush fairways and lightening fast greens, today will be a day to remember for a long time to come.

Day 22: Depart

With only a few hours left until you leave for home, now will be the time for any last minute shopping before returning the hire car and catching the flight home.
